This particular shoot was all about second chances, from the weather to the family connections it was amazing! It all started when we had our shoot at the very beautiful Kariotaihi Beach, it started out as this beautiful long black sand, overcast clouds and spectacular beach waves. It was halfway through the shoot when it started to rain. Being in Auckland, these are the things we had to deal with, we tried waiting it out but the weather was not having it. So we decided to re-schedule our photo shoot in there own area in Pukekohe, and it ended up just perfect! We accessed this private land (which we had the permission to go to by the way) and there was an amazing greeneries. Going through those woods, it almost felt enchanted. Abigail mentioned how Andrew is not the biological father of her two kids but he is all the girls ever needed and more, and we saw this through our lens. Andrew had built this amazing bond with the girls, the love and how much he cared for those girls and Abigial was amazing to see first hand. This whole experience reminded us that we may not get it right the first time but if we wait for the right time, in the end it will be just fine.
